Travel, including Tourism and Accommodation

  • Provide details of travel statistics, number and source of travellers and the category of their travel, e.g. meetings, incentives, conventions and exhibitions (MICE), visits to friends and relatives (VFR), holidays, short breaks, etc.
  • Discuss target markets in terms of segments and regions, outline extenuating factors affecting the industry, such as exchange rates and projected trends, and the impact of environmental, social and economic factors.
  • Describe tourism campaigns conducted detailing strategies, timelines, costs and outcomes.
  • List accommodation venues, capacity and occupancy rates where appropriate.

Media, including the Arts

  • Describe the impact of current or proposed government or regulatory policy changes which impact publication and broadcasting rights; cross-media ownership; spectrum management; scheduled free-to-air and cable or satellite programming and content provision; and issues of universal access and intellectual property.
  • Discuss the impacts of new technology such as: digital, cable, wireless and satellite television or radio; Internet and high speed cabling and access; operations issues such as compatibility switch-over and transition strategies.
  • Define target markets as segmented by general demographic and psychographic factors and their uptake or adoption of new technology delivery systems.
  • Discuss any breaches of television or radio codes of practice or media complaints that relate to your organisation.
  • Discuss major art acquisitions, collections, major exhibitions and programs, research retail activities and the impact of technology.
  • Discuss sponsorship, philanthropy and volunteers as appropriate to the organisation.
  • Indicate and define visitation numbers and trends.

Entertainment, including Sport

  • Outline target market segments and discuss market trends and projections.
  • Describe sponsorship and partnership elements, and campaigns and community programs in terms of their strategic intent and outcomes.
  • Discuss the impact of socio-political events on target market segments, steps taken to address corollaries, and indicate factors that affect other industries.
  • Detail the location, volume capacity and attendance details of each venue, including seasonal extenuating factors that affect venue performance.
  • Discuss volunteers and support groups where applicable.
